Manzanita Centerpieces - DIY!!

Centerpieces can be extremely costly. My fiance and I were determined to keep a reasonable budget and adding in centerpieces from a florist just wasn't going to work.

We are in the process of creating our own centerpieces.  I will post pictures of our finished product when completed, but below is our inspiration!

To Make:
- Manzanita branches: found here
- Garden pots: found here
- Silver sparkly rocks: Bought at Michael's. It adds a beautiful sparkle to the pot area.
- Hanging jewels: found here
- Flowers: found here. For real preserved flowers at a low price!! (So much better then the fake ones at craft stores. Guests will be impressed)
- Votive's around centerpiece: Michael's craft store, they sell 12 per box at around $5
- Spray foam - Home Depot, Lowes - cost is about $3 a can. It's the insulation spray foam, just be careful and liberal with how much you spray. It keeps growing as it dries, so put about 3 inches LESS then where you want it to end up in the pot as it will grow. Wait at least 12 hours before sanding or smoothing it down to the right size and level you want it. I sprayed ours mid day and then the next afternoon went it to smooth it out. To get rid of "oops" areas on the pot or skin, etc use nail polish remover. Takes it right off!

Cost:
- Manzanita branches: ($6.48 each; bought 20) $129.60
- Garden pots: ($2.99 each; bought 20) $59.80
- Silver sparkly rocks: ($5.99 each; bought 10) $59.90
- Hanging jewels: ($5.99 each; ordered 11) $65.89
- Flowers: ($14.99 for 30; ordered 5 boxes) $74.95
- Votive's around centerpiece: ($5 each; bought 5) $25
- Spray foam - ($3 each; bought 6) $18
Total Cost: $433.14
Cost per centerpiece: $21.66!!! Compare that cost to a florist and you'll notice HUGE savings. Looking online as an estimate cost for these centerpieces made for you would cost around $120 per centerpiece. DIY goes a long way!!!)
